I am very much fond of playing keyboard instruments. I wonder if there is a keyboard that I can attach with my computer and using the software play music. I am really interested to buy such a thing. Have you seen anything like that? Do you think such a gadget exists? Please respond.

Yes there are! First, if you use a Mac computer and use GarageBand, there is an option to do "Musical Typing" that lets you use your computer keys as a single octave keyboard. The other option is to buy a midi keyboard that can plug into your computer. That should work for many other programs. You could search different computer retailers or musical instrument retailers. And look into Midi Controllers compared to Keyboards.

Thanks a lot for the valuable information. Are you using it or you have seen it with someone?

I have not used it to record, but I've played with them in stores. They're pretty cool because they can be used like synthesizers to record a multitude of different instrument sounds. Like if you want to add a guitar solo, but can't play guitar. Or they can be used to create drum loops. They also range from a couple hundred dollars to the thousands. I suggest looking at them online, researching the manufacturers and visiting stores if you can.

You can make a sortware in basic language to play music with the keyboard. you can also install some music creation softwares to create music with the key board. i did have one such software long back. I am forgetting that now. Why don't yu contact some software companies and sell this idea of a musical keyboard.

I believe there is. My music teacher has a program where he will attached the keyboard to the computer then after striking a few keys on the organ, he was able to write the musical piece he just played. Just search the net for it. Surely you'll find something.
