Hi There! I treid to reach this website but was unsuccessful. The power is fluctuating and it is very frustrating. Hiwever, I do remember the song that I ws told by my mother that came out the year I was born. But, this does not mean it was so! Memoreis can be very selctive! It was a song called "You are my sunshine" The words that I can remmber are as follows:
You are my sunshine,
My only sunshioe
You make me happy
when skies are blue
You never know dear
How much I love you
So please don't take my sunshine away.
That's all I remmber. Rocket - am not receiving notification about your postings. God Bless

Oh no! I hope the situation gets worked out! Are you getting any from your other friends? You could check to see if my notify is turned to off. I will check mine too. I don't know if mine makes any difference but I will do it anyway.
I love "you are my sunshine"!
How was your retreat?
Good to hear from you again!

The retreat was good. We studied Paul the Apostle. The Lecturer was fantastic - has written books in collaboration with all different religious including Rabbanic theologians - he is an expert in ancient languages. He says that we sometimes we forget that the message from God is very simple and we get bogged down by the trappings of worship. He is a maverick and we all enjoyed his views during the retreat. No cell phones, no tv and plenty of time for quiet prayer and discussion.I look forward to this weekend in order to get my priorities of life in sync again. Yes, I have checked my settings and should receive our postings - but am not. God Bless

I love the song " You are My Sunshine" and I have always liked it. My cousin used to sing that to my brother and he would cry everytime. It is funny to think about now. Thanks for the memories!

Hi there rocketj1! Thank you for sharing the link. It is very interesting!
The number 1 song when I was born was Hot Child in the City by Nick Gilder. I am not really sure about the artist and I also do not know the song. I had to research and these are the lyrics...
Danger in the shape of somethin' wild
Stranger dressed in black, she's a hungry child
No one knows who she is or what her name is
I don't know where she came from or what her game is
(Hot child in the city)
(Hot child in the city)
(Runnin' wild and lookin' pretty)
(Hot child in the city)
So young to be loose and on her own
Young boys, they all want to take her home
She goes downtown, the boys all stop and stare
When she goes downtown, she walks like she just don't care, care
(Hot child in the city)
(Hot child in the city)
(Runnin' wild and lookin' pretty)
Yeah
(Hot child in the city)
Come on down to my place, baby
We'll talk about love
Come on down to my place, woman
We'll make love!
Hot child in the city
(Hot child in the city)
She's kinda dangerous
(Hot child in the city)
Young child
(Runnin' wild and lookin' pretty)
Young child, runnin' wild
(Hot child in the city)
Hot child in the city
(Hot child in the city)
(Hot child in the city)
(Hot child in the city)
Hot child in the city
(Hot child in the city)
Hot child in the city
(Hot child in the city)
Oh well.... I think I'd look for a copy of the song...

It's funny but I don't actually remember LOL hahaha Sorry just teasing. I think it was T-Rex with Hot Stuff as I checked it out once on a website years ago, that's why I can't remember. I will check it out through your link and see if it tells me anything different!

In the UK it was T-Rex with Hot Love (not stuff, I was just thinking of myself there!!). I think I have heard the T-Rex track but can't remember how it goes. You sing and I'll hummmm LOL It was 1971 by the way.

"The Tears of a Clown" by Smokey Robinson & the Miracles
How sad that Clown must have been. :)
It is good to be on Mylot today. Hope things are going well with you.
I have been so busy (praise God) with my other business that I have not had much time to get on Mylot.
I am so happy, so far this month I have made over $700.00 this month alone. I am so happy with how this business is picking up.
I do hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope to be ableto be on here more often as my full time job slows down some.
Be Blessed!

Mine was Ballerina" by Vaughn Monroe.. Hubby's was Some Enchanted Evening" by Perry Como and my son's was Bette Davis Eyes" by Kim Carnes.. I had tried this before but had forgotten about it, it was great to go back in there and be reminded again.. I have been told that the song playing when I was a young girl was "Don't Rock The Boat" by Noah of Noah's Ark, my wonderful hubby told me that one..
