On 11/21/08 in Baltimore, Maryland a 15 yr old boy was stabbed to death by a 14 yr old. This took place out front of a local middle school during school hours. The 14 yr old came to the school with the knife. The 15 yr old walked out of his class and out of the school to fight the 14 year old. During the fight the 14 yr old stabbed the 15 yr old to death. First I would like to say how deeply this story saddens me, partly because the 15yr old is the brother of my step-daughters best friend. Should the school be held responsible in anyway for allowing this student to walk out of class? If so, why? If not, why not? They have charged the 14yr old as an adult. Do you think he should be charged as an adult? If so, why? If not, why not?

Of course the school should not be held responsible for the child leaving class...he probably said he had to use the restroom or something. At 15, kids are expected to be able to take themselves to the restroom unassisted. Yes, the 14 year old should be tried as an adult. There's something wrong with a human that can take another human's life outside of self-defense. Was this kid a "super male" with that added X chomasome? He needs to be tested, locked away and provided therapy. Happy MyLotting!
