Melamine in FOOD

In Wikipedia,Melamine means a combination of formaldehyde to produce resin, avery durable thermosetting plastic, and melamine foam, apolymeric CLEANING product. The end products include countertops, dry erase board and so on. Melamine also is one of the major components in Pigment Yellow plastics. Recently,world has been reported with a news about there is a MELAMINE in babymilk powder.Besides,there is also MELAMINE in biscuit, chicken egg and others.On other words,MELAMINE inside FOOD. How can this elements which is produced for something which NOT food can be found in FOOD?
