Anyone here have any idea on how i could sign up for organ donation? I know its a morbid thought but I been thinking about it for quite a while. You'll never know when you'll gonna go. But when you do, wouldn't you want to be part of someone long after your gone? What's your insight on this issue?

as several have mentioned - in the USA there is a place to sign on the back of your driver's license indicating your wishes in regards to organ donations. Also, you could have a Last Will and Testament drawn up that states your wishes - If there is a health department in your state/province, perhaps they can direct you for the guidelines in your area. Whatever you decide, make sure your family is aware because ultimately they will be the ones to make the decisions.

Hello my dear burnek Ji, Well so far our younger son has donated his both eyes. Further I thing, you should get in touch with some Hospital/NGOs/Charitable trust etc. It is great noble idea. But I doubt, if any of my body part could be very much useful at this age of 64 yrs having, HTN, DM2, UTI, Artrites etc. etc. have a great time.

If you live in the US you can usually opt in on your drivers license. I don't know about other countries though. I don't think that that is a morbid idea at all. Without people being willing to donate there would be no transplants offered and more lives would be lost needlessly. So good for you for giving this some thought.

In the State of Georgia, you can request that you wish to be an organ donor on your drivers license. Also, you need to be sure and let your next of kin and family members know that you wish to be an organ donor. Put it in your will!!
