Hi liuenze, we don’t have winter in our country, anyhow I did experience the severe cold winter season during my foreign journey in Taiwan, china and Turkey. In china, people there always served us with chaffy dish. The freshly hot delicious dishes would make us to feel warm and comfortable during those cold days. We used a ladle to scoop the delicious foods out from the boiling soup and dipped it with soy bean sauce or pepper. There was a simple but delicious dish served there, fried tomato with stirred eggs. It was really yummy to take together with a bowl of hot plain rice. In the Turkey we were served with kebab, a kind of roasted chicken that was roasted on a slow moving cylinder. The thin slices of tasty chicken meat were cut and served freshly hot from cylinder shaped oven. We took the meat together with hot mutton soup and Turkish bread or fried rice. There were really yummy to be taken during cold days. posting and take care.

Yeah, it is really interesting to have tour to China. My husband and I had visited china 4 times during winter season. We could only have long term holidays from November to the early of January. I liked the food served there. There was another local simple and delicious dish, fried brinjal I had taken in China frequently when we visited ChengDu few years back. Brinjal (qiezi) is a kind of gourd with the similar shape size of cucumber but its skin is purple in color. Chengdu is a very nice city. The landscapes, the historical sites, the food, the people and etc there are so nice and impressive, of course has become an unforgettable remembrance for me. Surely my dear, I will visit china again if I were to given a chance. Definitely it would be my honor if I were to have an opportunity to take delicious Chinese food together with you there. Have a sweet day and happy posting.

Oh I don't know, I guess I tend to do more soups and roasts in the winter. In the summer it's too hot to heat up the house with using the oven or cooking on the stove all day long. But in general, I don't make that much distinction between what kind of food to make because it's winter vs summer.
