Doughnuts are one of the best tasting bad foods you could ever eat. Chock full of fat, calories, sugar and heart attacks... but oh so delicious. There's powdered, jelly-filled, frosted with sprinkles and of course the glazed Krispie Kreme variety. Who can resist them, staring at you from the middle of the conference table at a company meeting?
But not all doughnuts are created equal. There's no use indulging if the pastry's just not that great.
Where, oh where, can you get a good doughnut? Comment and share your thoughts below. Where do you buy your doughnuts?

Hey there! Until about last year, my favorite doughnut was the glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut. I really like them especially when they're really fresh. But then I discovered their chocolate cake doughnut. That is my current favorite doughnut. I still enjoy all kinds of doughnuts of course. I really enjoy Dunkin' Donuts' Choco Honey Dipped doughnuts. There's another brand I used to eat when I was younger, I think it was called Entelman or Entleman or something like that. They had really good chocolate doughnuts. Mmmmmmmm...

A local farm/dairy near us makes amazing cider donuts definitely the best I've ever tasted. They're only seasonal, though, so my father often gets up early in the morning on the weekends to buy 2 dozen of them. They're a little smaller than usual, and are mostly gone by the end of the first day. If only these were available year-round, I'm sure there would be a huge market for them. I hear they go great with coffee, too.
