I would suggest that you stay away from acidic foods for a while, things like apple juice and tomatoes. Citrus would be right off the list, and so would most spices (like montreal steak spice). Cumin is bad for acidity, but tumeric and ginger are supposed to help control acid. Indonesian foods have a lot of ginger in them, and it may burn going down, but it won't come back on you (at least it doesn't for me). But be careful, you're better off making your own Bahmi Goreng and Nasi Goreng without the Sambal, than going to a restaurant and ordering the Indonesian fried noodle.

I suffer from acid refluz as well and have realized I have trigger foods at certain times of the day. For instance if I drink a cup of orange juice as soon as I get up in the morning I now I will have heartburn for the rest of the day. I also know that if i eat on an empty stomach any acidic food that sets me up for heart burn as well. Tuna and brown rice doesn't sound appetizing after a few days im sure but i truly believe it is trial and error. You can try various soups, fruits, vegetable and definetly avoid high fat and salty foods. best of luck.
