Good RPG for amateur

I am looking for a good RPG game to play online. I have never played an RPG before (unless Pokemon counts). I really want something that is free, easy to learn, and has a good social aspect too. Thanks!!

Hmmm... You could try http://www.trickster.ntreev.net It's pretty fun, it's not too hard really and there are alot of people on it too. And yes, it's free (I tend to like free games myself). Also there's Maplestory but I'm not really a fan of side-scrolling games.

In my opinion, Archlord and Conquer 2.0 are the best free MMORPG, Rune Scape is ok. Give them a try. It all boils down to personal taste. My 2 cents. :D
