I didn't like to eat lady fingers when I was young, I found it sticky after cooked. Since a few years ago, I started to like eating lady fingers, and also it's healthy. I always boil the lady fingers until it's cooked, then pour some soy sauce on top of them, just eat them with a bowl of rice. How about you?

The opposite is true with me when I was a child. I like eating lady finger even when I was young. I also like it boiled and eaten with soy sauce. It is a healthy viand that is easy to prepare.
I have read that it contains Vitamin C and minerals. Okra contains calcium and magnesium.

That's good. You can get minerals naturally through it. It is called okra in the Philippines and I didn't expect too that it is also the common name for other countries.

Hi kaka! I do like it when I was kid and just cooked it with other vegetables or sometimes just steamed and dip it with soy sauce. But now I don't eat it okra often and I don't really know why, but may be because my husband doesn't like it and whenever I cook some, I just eat it by myself. Thanks!

Hi, kaka, i really love eating lady fingers. I just had them yesterday! I stir fried the garlic first and then lady fingers, i will add some water and before serving, i put some soy sauce. It's delicious! I sometimes boil it together with my noddle soup. I also like to eat the lady fingers with sambal belacan. But i only can eat this when i go back home and ask my mom to make for me. My husband doesn't eat spicy food. I think most of the foreigners call it okra.;-) I didn't know it too after i read some discussion about this in Mylot. But i prefer calling it lady fingers, don't you fell it actually looks like lady's finger?;-)
