do you like living with the old or alone?

living with the old can do a lot of favour for us ,such as home cooking,baby sitting ,house cleaning and so on.but there are some problems existed.the old and we the young have the different living habits,for example,we are fond of getting up late on weekends after a whole week's tiring work but they get up too early,and they sleep early ,we can't have a party at home with our friends until midnight.which will you choose,living with the old or living alone?please give your apinions in details.

I don't like living with the old, because there are many differences between us and dealing with them may cause a lot of trouble. I would rather do the chores by myself.

I know that sometimes living with those older then you can be a real bother. Especially if they are relatives as relatives tend to bump heads. My fiance and I get along with his parents quite well though and we respect each other. We live under their roof and very much still play by their rules. We ask them for advice and help and they are always happy and willing to help. Sometimes the older generation does like to go to bed early and stay up later but my father in law works during the night so therefore he is on a schedule much like ours.
I myself enjoy going to bed early and waking up early but not to early.

I'm lucky coz my parents are cool. They're a lot older, I mean I'm 30 and they're about 68 and 64. Ye they're cool to be with. The thing that just pisses me off is, of course, our views on things clash at times and it is so hard to get through to them. If I had a choice though, I would choose to live independently for the experience and to learn as well. It would be nice to have boo boos of my own and learn from it.
