What a person should do to make an unhappy person happy?

I just realised that how a person can be happy when he sees someone unhappy around himself. What one should do to make him happy again. Is this possible that you surely make him happy without knowing the reasons of his unhappiness?

It's hard to make someone happier without knowing why they're unhappy. There are little things you can do, like just being kind to strangers who seem unhappy. Small acts of kindness can go a long way. Sometimes an unhappy person just needs someone to talk to, and it will make them feel better.

I think you can approach him and lend an ear to his troubles that would help lift his spirits up I'm not generally affected when unhappy person is around me unless he/she is trying to ruin my mood
