My Dental Hygienist Quit

I have been seeing the same dental hygienist on my semi-annual visits to the dentist for at least 15 years and with two different dentist groups. The last time I went, earlier this month, I learned she had quit to persue other things. I am going to miss her since she was excellent and we had developed a very good repore. Also, another factor is that I have a thing about never being late so I am always a little early for my appointments and she was just about always ready for me on time if not a little early. The new one kept me waiting for 25 minutes past my appointment time. Anyone else ever had such a long running professional relationship suddenly end?
