Continuous terror attacks in the sub-continent has cast a shadow over the 2011 Cricket World Cup to be jointly hosted by India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh with the International Cricket Council contemplating of keeping a stand-by venue for the mega-event. According to a report in The Daily Telegraph, the ICC is expected to discuss the issue in its Executive Council meeting in South Africa next week. The report also stated that if the ICC decides to shift the event, Australia and New Zealand, the co-host in 2015, are the prime contenders for staging the tournament. Cricket Australia has already started endorsing the idea with chief executive James Sutherland saying safety and security issues surrounding the 2011 World Cup were "bound to come up" in the ICC meeting. It's really bad thing to our Indians. Why the terrorist doing like this that god knows and they knows well. But it is affecting every where in the every field. Not only to the trading market but also to the daily life and also to the sports. If it continues then defnately it's not possible to held 2011 world cup in Asia.

cant blame them if they decide to shift venues for the world cup.many countries are still afraid to tour pakistan .in sri lanka ,the ltte and army are fighting .in india, during the last 5 months, its worser than pakistan...too many bomb blasts, terrorist attacks.what would happen if a player from the touring team lose his life to one of such incidents?they would mark india as zone where internationa cricket wont be played again...its better to keep cricket at bay till we solve these major problems.
