I have been travelling frequently by train. It has been many years since i travelled by air. In fact i have been staying am most places which are connected by train an d the train journey is mostly over night so I travel by train. i was in place which required my travelling 48 hours by train and that was the time i traveled by air. That was in 1984. Since then i have not travelled by air. i am planing to go to a far off place soon so I willbe travelling by air soon afte a gap of nearly 24 years. How often do you travel by air?

Since I live in an island I have to fetch a plane if I have to travel abroad. We don't have trains that connect us with other countries. The only outlet is to travel by ferry to Sicily.

I travel by air when it's not possible to travel by train.. for example when I went to Asia or to America, I travelled by air (I am italian)... anyway, I prefer travelling by train.. even if polls say that there are more accidents travelling by train than by plane, I am afraid the same.. this's because if someone find themselves in a plane crush, they're more likely to die .. instead it's more likely to survive in a train accident... I travel by plane about twice a year.. Generally I go on holiday on february and in summer..

I usually go on a plane on return trip once or twice a year. That is because I am very keen on traveling and sometimes I love to go to far away destinations. I live in Europe and I have flown around the world, to Australia, to New Zealand, to Kenya and to St Lucia. Flying is the only practical way to get to places such a long way away. In January I will be flying with my toddler son to Cape Town. Train is my favorite from of transportation. I have traveled on trains in my home country, in mainland Europe, the USA, Kenya, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand. I often travel by train like every month in the winter and every week in the summer time. I used to catch two trains to work and so I used to travel by train every day during the term time.

By Air on my official journeys. That would be twice a month at least. By train or by bus on my personal journeys. Here the frequency would vary

Hi there. I think the answer to this question is dependent on where you live. If you are from the US for example, the possibility of using the train is a likely one whereas in the UK for example, many destinations are not reachable by train as we are a relatively small island. I personally do not like plane journeys and always feel exhausted afterwards but I suppose that plane journeys are much faster than using other means of transport. I usually fly at least once a year
