How would you handle this?

My father has a disease that is slowly killing him. My question is though how would you handle the emotional stress of knowing someone won't be around much longer. Especially someone real close to you.

Try to enjoy the time you have left with him and don't dwell on the fact that he won't be around. Spend as much time with him as you can. Tell him everything that you've always wanted to tell him. Think about how much fun you can have in the time you have left with him. Make the best of every situation. Knowing that he's enjoying the time he has left should help relieve some of the stress.
