The broken ATM saved me

Whew! Yesterday I tried to deposit my paycheck through the ATM at my bank. Well, since it was out of service I had to go to the bank today after work and do it. When I go to the bank, the ATM was still out of service, so I had to go inside. And it's a good thing I did!!! Yesterday when I got my deposit ready for the ATM (sealed the envelope and everything) I forgot to sign the back of the check. I've never done this before, but when I worked at a bank and processed the ATM deposits, I stamped all the unendorsed checks with "Deposit Only". If my bank didn't do that they would have sent it back to me in the mail and it would have taken an additional 3 or 4 days to get the deposit in the bank. Then some of my bills woulda been late and it would have been a huge mess. So, a broken ATM really saved me from being an idiot!!!

I do not have that problem with my bank, but they do not allow any withdrawals for about a month if they are not signed. If that happened, and I forgot to sign the checks, I would have been in trouble as well. Good thing that that ATM was out of service. Good thing you are not an idiot.

Fate plays her hand and can be a grand friend to us at times can't she? I love things like this. It shows me fate is at work and I love how she works. I thoroughly believe that things happen for a reason. This just proves it!

Yup, everything has a reason and my little bit of frustration and inconveince that day saved me TONS of headaches later.

Someone was watching over you yesterday it seems. That ATM was down just for you. Glad you got it taken care of today.

Whew! Me too, we had already scheduled our bills to go out based on my paycheck being in the bank before today. I wish I had direct deposit...

Isn't it strange how things that seem bad at the moment turns out to be better for the best. Even if we don't understand the reason at the moment that it occurs, we soon find out the reason things were as they were. Glad you caught that and didn't have to deal with other charges occurring for not having the funds in your account.

I just about started laughing out loud when I saw what I'd almost done. It was definitely my lucky day :)
