Filipinos are so fond of eating. Each of us has its own favorite. Some has its own favorite but its so seldom can find the source of it. Some of those are what they say "exotic food". To mention few are; turtles, bats, edible snakes and some like these that are already an endangered species. I already tasted fried bat meat (those big one) it was so tasty,I really like it that I've been longing to eat it again if I could just find where I could buy. I really like and also longing to eat an edible frog from the ricefield. I had an experienced eating snake (python) that I said I will never it again..EEWWWWWWWW. At first the taste was so yummy cause it was cooked crispy, all sizes of the cooked python were the same, I had eaten a lot cause I really like it together with a cooked cassava. After awhile, when I started burping, ewwww it was so awful, cause I could smell the fresh scent of the snake-meat when it was not yet cook. The smell was so awfull that you could vomit all what you had in your stomach..yakkkk, ewwwww. From that time, I said to myself I will never eat it again..I have also eaten a cooked grasshopper. Yeaahh its so delicious, as if you're eating a fried shrimp, have you tried it already? How about you have you tried what I had eaten? Or maybe you have more worst experience in eating food like this than I had? Its so funny, can you share it also to us? Happy mylotting

i've tasted some exotic filipino food like frogs, bayawak, beetle, and yes python. The meat of bayawak and python tastes like chicken meat. In my province, they cooked it with coconut milk and usually added chili or pepper. I guess the "yuckness" tastes less when its spicy hot.

I've seen people eating exotic foods, but I don't want to eat yet i had eaten "dog" meat cause my friends did not inform me about it. it tasted good, i guess it's how you prepare it but with those insects, i think i'll puke if i'll try to. I can't eat "balot" but i do eat "penoy". I wish i have the guts to try it all but i simply don't have.

Hello. Yes indeed, filipinos are fun of eating exotic foods. I tried eating a wild iguana, yes it looks just like a large lizard but believe me it tastes like chicken, it has a lot of bones that gives you the impression of eating all chicken necks, but it's good when it's cooked well. Happy mylotting. :)
