How to prepare a good and healthy meal for our family? Grilling? Deep fried? steam? What is the secret behind prepare healthy meal? Of cause we need to cook fresh and more vegetables. However, we have to be skillful to cook meal so that the food would not over cooked. By the way, the freshness of the food should preserve. I personally think that it is quite tedious for those who dont know how to cook.

Well, it depends mostly on the type of food first. For most meats, grilling is a good choice because no oils are needed to cook the meat, but not everyone has a grill to use. Indoor grills work great because they can be used anytime of the year. Oven baking also works well too for meats, but you need to make sure the temperature is right, and the timing is correct, or the meat wil get too dried out. For vegetables it is always best to steam because the nutrients are kept and the vegetables are not overcooked. However, if you want more options for cooking meats and vegetables more healthily, you could also consider stir fry. It works well for just about any meat and vegetable. Just be certain to use a high grade olive oil or peanut oil for frying. Both are healthy, and peanut oil has a high temperature tolerance without smoking. Fresh produce will always be better than anything packaged or canned. But you can also look for pre-packaged produce too. This may save you some money and you can stil buy fresh. If you are not sure what to do check out some resources like the Food Network. It is one of my favorite resources for anything food related. Or you can check out the website or consider buying a cook book. You could try planning your meals for dinner for a week, and then shop for the whole week. Most cooking is easy to do if you take some time to prepare, and are able to follow directions. Start with some simple recipes that do not require a lot of prep time or cooking time until you become more comfortable in the kitchen!

i think fresh vegetables salads are good for our health. grilling will be like half boiled and if we put more time,it will be too dry to eat.so i don;t like grilling. steaming is better i think. without oil ,we can steam any thing and can have it.with this our health will be good i think. for weight watchers steaming is best.Steaming preserves the vitamins and minerals in foods. It is also healthy because you do not have to add any oils or fats. Steam can actually help melt some of the excess fats in foods, which end up in the water that was heated to make the steam. When you steam rather than charbroil foods, you also avoid the danger of consuming carcinogens that are present in blackened foods.Steaming also concentrates the intrinsic flavor and juiciness of foods. This not only makes foods taste better, but also brings an indirect health benefit: When we taste what foods really are like, we may not be as tempted to use rich sauces or unhealthy condiments to spice them up. Steaming and stir-frying do the best for capturing nutrients, and also give you the option, at least for stir-frying, to try healthy and great-tasting sauces. These cooking methods also take little or no oil, so you miss out on some of the fat. However, the best thing to do isn't cooking at all. Instead, eat as many raw fruits and vegetables as possible. When you do this, no vitamins, minerals, or enzymes are lost, and you gain optimum benefits. Juicing fruits and vegetables is also a great nutrient-catcher. Best healthy way?? I dun think there's any.. IF there's any, most food will be either quite bland or even tasteless.. Also, it depends on what kind of food we are cooking, and steaming does not mean it's the healthiest of all.. As some food are not meant for steaming and some food are meant to be boiled or fried.. Deep fried does not mean it's unhealthy too, because one can use to use vegetable oil or even olive oil ^_^ Thus, cooking can be done in many ways ^_^

for me I prefer steam. I like to eat vegetables from steam heat like okra and etc. It is more nutritious I think because it is still juicy and all the juice from the vegetables are still in tact.
