Do you sleep with a snorer?

I love my husband, but he snores like a bear. Unfortunately, I am a pretty light sleeper, so I spend many nights elbowing him or just watching late night television. We tried the breathe right strips--they were not effective. I used to try sleeping in another room, but he felt abandoned and said it was like I didn't love him anymore if I didn't share our bed with him. So i have been guilted into returning. I did try taking a sedative for a couple of nights, but I have children, so I don't want to be comatosed in case they need me at night. So, how do you deal with your snorer?

My husband snores, but I notice it's his sleeping position. If he's sleeping on his bed, he will snore; so I'd just push or elbow him. Fortunately it doesn't really affect me very much - I guess when I'm tired, nothing will wake me up.

Feel sorry for you friend and can feel your problem not from the point of view of sufferer but from the point of the one creates the trouble. I am a snorer and my wife suffers and the remedies you tried, she also did that. But has to return to the same bed as I cannot stay away from her. But fortunately, now our problem is quite solved. Through the practice of 'Pranayam' a kind of breathing exercise my snoring has reduced a lot. You may also give it a try by visiting the site 'www.divyayoga.com'.

yes i can sleep with a snorer. becuase my husband snores in night. he gets snoring when he feels tired and restless and when he sleeps because of them. because of his overweight ,he gets snores and i will ask him to loose weight but he is not interested and don;t have time to reduce weight. but i can sleep with him even if he snores also. after i get sleep , i will wake up because of his snoring. i am a good sleeper and can manage him and sleeps more time also even if he snores also. so see if u;r husband is also over weight and try to control his weight. don;t give sugar and salt to him, with this he can control some weight and snoring can be lessened. he should not take milk products and soya milk products in night before bed time. he should not take alchohol and other medications before his sleep. if he has more snoring consult any doctor.
