Confused between a dream and real life.......

Does anyone else experience this? (real life) - my alarm clock is buzzing (dream) - telephone is ringing In my dream I try to answer the phone, but I can't pick it up & it keeps ringing. When I finally wake up, I realize that it's the alarm clock and not my phone. Sometimes I try to answer the phone in real life, but no one is there because it's actually my alarm clock. It also happens the other way. It may actually be my phone ringing & I try to turn off my alarm. Another example: (real life) - slapping my husband in his crotch area (dream) - playing basketball I dreamt that I was playing basketball and I was dribbling the ball down the court. I was rudely interrupted from my sleep by screams of pain and agony. When I opened my eyes, my husband looked as if he just experienced the worse pain of his life. I then realized that while I was dribbling the ball in my dream, in real life I was slapping my husband in his crotch. He said I was hitting it pretty hard too. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? If so, tell me about it so I don't feel as though I'm weird and alone. I need to know that this is normal. Thanks!!

Yes, I know what you mean. I've done that too. I thought I told someone something, but they have no idea what I'm talking about. Then later I remember that I actually dreamt it and it didn't really happen. Thank you. I'm starting to feel a little more normal now!

I can't say I have the same experience as you. But sometimes I also feel puzzled about my dream. I have had same dreams for many times. For example, I often dreamt I was playing electronic organ, but no matter how I tried, I can't get the vocality. And as I become more anxious, it become worse. So I felt very tired in the dream. I also often dream I fall from high, like ladders, buildings. This often makes me scared in dream. I don't know why these always happen, maybe I have some problems in psychology?

Thank you for taking the time to tell me about your dreams. I think many, many people dream of falling. I know I've dreamt about that a lot! Not sure what it means, but I would like to know. By the way, are you an entertainer or do you play the organ in real life?

Sorry, I am not an entertainer. I think the reason I always play electronic organ in dream is when I was young, I wanted to learn playing organ very eargerly. but I didn't get the opportunity to learn it and have no opportunity to own an organ.

Yes I've easily confused real life for being a dream actually. Recently I've just been having non-stop dream moments in real life and it does seem unreal or like a higher world that I shouldn't be a part of yet. It's come to be to the point where I can pretty much make whatever I want to happen, happen.

I appreciate the response! My sister also yells in her sleep. I used to think she was yelling at me until I realized she was still sleeping. I'm glad I don't have to share a room with her anymore!
