i dont eat dogs !

I think this is a weird stereotype, mostly when I hear it as a joke it's coming out of the mouths of ignorant (and, consequently, not very funny) people. To be fair to them, though, I read somewhere (a major authoritative magazine I think) that eating dog meat has caught on in Japan. They think it clears up your skin over there and is some kind of delicacy, and I guess there is less of that American cultural idea that dogs=people.

Hi there! Welcome to mylot. I guess its quite annoying if you heard people saying it a million times, lol. Maybe just try to ignore them. I am an Asian and I don't eat dog, and if someone gives me a hard time about it, I'll try my best to just ignore them as well. I've eaten wild rabbit and I didn't really like it, I'm not sure if its weird to eat wild rabbit.

hi patricia! really, i never knew that there is such a notion about asian. anyway, i am filipino and yeah, i eat dogs, alligator, turtles, birds, even snake. well, other countries eat snails and cockroaches. i guess each one of us has his own taste and choice. no problem about that. and no reason to fret. take care and God bless you!

no i don't think you're overeacting. that same thing happens to me. it such a stereotypical thing for ignorant people to say. i guess your mom doesn't know how it feels when people are constantly asking u if u eat dog. i know how you feel, it's soo annoying.
