in the philippines, only those can afford to buy everybody a gift, can do so.. some, only give presents to their children. but here in norway as well as in denmark, each one of the member of the family, must have a gift for each one of them, especially for the kids.. so, everybody has gifts, not just one, but many!! how happy it is, right? receiving a lot of gifts and spending time just for opening them..

I only give to immediate family (fiance, son, parents)excluding my siblings. Especially this year, since we are so broke we can barely afford gifts for the kids so we're not even giving gifts to one another. I would be in BAD shape if I was from Denmark and as broke as I am this year. LOL

I give gifts to everyone in my immediate family (my mom, dad, and brother) as well as my grandmother, my boyfriend, and my boyfriend's family. I usually give my boyfriend's family some sort of gift basket they can all share. And I also get presents for my pets- my two dogs and my mouse.
