Do politicians need security?

after the mumbai blasts and the way the police of mumbai supposedly took care of the situation i have been thinking.... when india has such inadequency of security..... are politicains supposed to be given all the security guards? what happens to us citizens of india..... we are no one for this country...? arent we the ones who actually make these politicians win their elections? when there isnt a large security force do you think the politicians of our country deserve to be given the security and body guards? is our nation more important or these politicians? if the politicians were all good and clean without any corruption... none of them would need any security..... no body guards would be requires.... i think its more important for the country to have such security and body guards rather than these politicians hogging all our indian security currently.... all they can ever do is go to the place where the terrorism is happening with a truck load of security behind them ...(which as a matter of fact could be actually used to fight this terrorisn)...stand in front of the camera and give lectures to the public sitting at home and show how brave he is that he went upto the scene of the terrorism just for the people to show his grief.... whats your opinion about all this?
