Christmas cards for shutins

I was involved in a project that I think was called Angel cards. You could submit names of shutins, or people without family...people alone at Christmas time. Then you could send Christmas cards to people on the list. I can't find any info on it, and have asked people on some of my yahoo groups. So...does anyone here know anything about this? Thanks.

what that is really wonderful, christmas can be such a very lonely time for shutins or people who do not have any family or friends.

I think that it is a good project for Christmas. What about giving helping hand to homeless during this period? These are people that suffer during this period. © ronaldinu 2008

I never heard of this, but it does sound like a good idea. It might be a bit late to start it now though, with the rush to mail Christmas cards. I do not know if we have something like this in Canada. At Christmas we usually visit one of the old age homes or a hospital and sing carols, but I do not think I will be able to, that is, if the appointment for my check up is on the same day as we are going to sing carols.

I've heard of this before but don't have or know where to get any of the info. There should be one on mylot for people to send to.. everyone needs someone .. especially around the holidays. Hope you find what you're looking for and Happy Holidays to you.
