Well the first question is do you choose your friends or do they choose you? Next do you accept all friend requests? Will you ever establish any social contact with your friends here outside of mylot?Do you have criteria for choosing friend like ranking ,looks etc or its a simple case of choosing people so they can respond to your discussions ?Don’t get me wrong I have met some persons on mylot who I think are interesting based on their post but I think the vast majority couldn’t care less who you were.
Should they really be called friends ,I don’t know ,just wondering out aloud

I usually have other people request me as a friend on here. Yes I usually accept all requests so that I can respond to a majority of people. I probably may establish contact, may not, unfortunately, my father has taught me not to trust a lot of people, so it is hard for me to meet someone from the internet and have them trust me. I do not really have criteria when choosing friends, I usually just approve them, because they must want to be my friend for some reason, so I accept it.

I haven't asked someone to be friends yet, they asked me. I check their profiles, read some of their dicussions and answers to see what they are like (I mean, response-wise of course, not character). If they post good, sensible things, start interesting topics, I accept them. I don't necessarily look to stars or postcount, just post content.
I wouldn't call them friends indeed, as I don't know them personally. I just value their discussions and opinions. It's not as if I don't care who they are or something, but I'm always a bit awkward with online people. I don't add friends just so they would respond to my discussions, I don't expect them to answer a discussion they don't care about.
