What will you do to your old friends after you have made new ones?

Wherever we are, we may meet with strangers and they maybe become your friends someday or so. And then you got new friends, more and more, but how about the old ones, what will you do with them? Just try to treat them as before and contract them as soon as you can? Or, on the country, just stay with your new friends and enjoy the fresh feelings your new friends bring to you? That's a really really common thing that we people may all have met before, so you guys must have something to say about this and just go ahead. I am glad to listen to your opinions and that may do me a favor, thanks first.

I enjoy making new friends, but my old friends are also very important to me. I try to keep in touch with old friends and friends who live in other countries, but it is not always easy. I've managed to keep in touch with some of my old friends, but unfortuneately I've also lost some of my old friendships. It has happened a couple of times that I have found an old friend again and that has made me really happy. It is a wonderful surprice to receive a letter from someone you thought you would never see again

Hey, nice topic! I am of the opinion that you should keep your old friends, they are part of your history and you should never forget who you are (unless you were a rotten person and have moved on - joke!) "Find new friends but keep the old, these are silver, those are gold" Not my quote, but an old proverb. Its so easy to keep in touch with all the methods we have these days, so keep both!

I still have friends that I made 15 years ago, if they are a good friend then they will be with me forever. I have lots of new friends but the old ones are the ones that have been through a lot with me and had some great times together.

Sell them! Just kidding!!! Just Kidding!!! I keep them. I have one friend (my best friend beside my husband) that we have been friends for over 30 years. We don't hang out much, (that kinda hard to do when she is now living in Poland and I'm in the USA) but we are still friends and I know she would always be there for me and I her. Now sometimes I grow apart from some of my friends because our interests are different but not because they have been replaced.
