Isn't christmas what you make it? If you spend your life continually questioning the morals in the companies exploitation of the taxpayers then you can say the same about birthdays, mother's day, valentines day, father's day etc etc. Christmas is one of the few things in this life that can remain untainted if you dont always partner it with the more evil cosmopolitan shops. While your average child may now prefer an Xbox360 to a Yo-yo doesn't take away the festive spirit, (and as much as i almost resent corny ideas) the glow in your heart. True, money does seem to come hand in hand with christmas but it shouldn't take away the excitement in knowing your making someone happy, even if ironically it's with material goods. What about family? There's always a continuous theme of love and happiness (generally and hopefully) in families and friendships. If you want to continue believing in a pure christmas don't continually reflect on companies (who i begrudingly include, have to make money for their own families to eat) espcially not on the actual day. Christmas spirit is lacking as it is! Keep it alive and make it about love and happiness.

There are too many stores who need to sell things, even useless things. Even the beggars are all about making money. They will not accept change. Cheers!!
