Governor of IL trying to sell Obama Senate seat to the highest bidder

I understand that politics is a dirty game and along with that comes corruption and so forth. I still find the latest news so unbelievable that Governor Blagojevich of IL has been actually wire tapped in the process of trying to sell President Elect Obama Senate seat to the highest bidder, along with other allegations. Wow.. Its obvious that he had been under federal investigation for awhile so what on earth was he thinking or did someone set him up? Either way this is just all so screwed up. Obama response is that he knew nothing of it and hadn't talked with the Governer in regards to it.
