New York Police plead innocent to sodomy charge

Have you read this? Apparently three police officers were charged with committing sodomy on a man on a subway platform. Two held the man while the third officer sodomized the victim with a retractable police baton.If they are convicted each can face up to four years in prison. Do you think that is a suitable punishment for these officers? Do you believe that the punishment should be more severe for the officers or is this just?

I think that punishment of 4 years imprisonment is very light. Being sodomized is equal to being raped. So punishment should be as severe as punishment for rape. Being sodomized is being strip off of dignity of the victim. The police officers just committed a criminal act which is gravely a violation of the human rights too!
