We (my husband, myself, and my teenage son) all just finished this book, and we are VERY excited! It came at the perfect time, and is confirming a lot of things that we were already thinking. It really put some very powerful concepts into basic, easy-to-understand language. We really agree with Kiyosaki's opinions on the value of the dollar, and the benefits of gold and silver. That's probably what drew us to Rich Dad to begin with. We had been talking for months about needing to start purchasing silver. Then, the foreclosure wave hit, and we started talking about how right NOW is the time to jump into the real estate market, and just rent out and sit on properties. After we started reading the book, lo and behold, there was a free Rich Dad seminar near us. We went to that, and learned a little, got motivated a lot, and now we are getting all the loan paperwork processed to buy a primary residence for ourselves (will probably be rented out though, as we are working out of town for the next few years) and as soon as that deal is completed, we will buy our first 4-plex apartment building. We anticipate a few hundred dollars per month cashflow from the single-family home, and about $1500 per month from the apartment. We are SUPER excited about all this. In fact, for my birthday this weekend, we went to Powell's City of Books (in Portland, OR), and spent a long time looking at the real-estate investing section, and all the different Rich Dad books. Then we came home and got the CashFlow E-Game, and played that until like midnight last night, LOL! Long story short, we LOVE Rich Dad, and think that his principles are RIGHT ON! Mouse Bandit
