Why is it like this?

Why is it easier to convince people to do things that are 'bad' for them than to do things that are 'good' for them? For example... eat that piece of cake or have a salad instead.

It depends on what you are trying to convince them of, and how strongly they are for or against it. If they really are strongly against it. Then usually they would not go ahead and do it. Others, just need extra help and motivation to get out of bad habits, but they feel if someone is telling them its alright at the moment. They may think at the moment it is, or it is okay if their friends or loved ones say it is then maybe its not that bad.... Others really just struggle with what is right, and what is wrong. And people maybe jokingly saying to go ahead and do it, and then not realise that the person struggles with the right and wrong value, and then maybe amused that the person they told to do it just did. Thinking they had done it to be cool, when some will do the bad thing because they need to hear praise, and no matter what they will try to get the praise or attention they need even if it gets themselves into serious troubles. Me I'd go for the cake only cause I am not big on Salad, and I really would not care about the fat and calories because I work it off easily with all the Native dancing I do.... so I do not worry about that. I worry more about keeping my thirst satisfied than I do over cake or salad. But as far as bad habits go. If a person really cares about their friends and loved ones. They will not try to temp them unless they are testing their reaction, then they will stear their friend away reminding their friend they asked them to help them out..... Just be nice, if a person says No to this or that at first do not play tempting devil, as many times you do not know if the individual is struggling with diebetis, or other health issues where the right diet is dependant on their life. So please make good descisions :) . - DNatureofDTrain

Again ur not exactly right but somewhat... actually bad n good depends on the perespective of the people ... its not neccesary that what is bad for u will be bad for other person also .. it may be good for him ... But thr are some things which might be bad for all ... Actually bad things have very broad path while its just opposite for the good path, its very narrow ... so its always easy to use broad path then the narrow one ... u might be getting something what i need to say... The same is true for truth n lie.... A truth is always a truth n there is no other truth other than that while is lie can have many forms .. u can lie in thousand ways ... A narrow path is little bit tough to cross .. u may get hurdles but in the end u will reach the destination while the same is not true for the broad path I have diverted the topic somewhat but that was my feeling
