It seems newspapers are gradually lose its popularity to Internet.By clicking a key one can see thousands of newspapers of the world on the computer screen. Then is popularity of newspapers decreasing to the readers? I don't think so.The enthusuastic readers those want to go details of a sbject have to read newspapers.Internet can focus on a subject and creates interest to readers. To know the details one have to depend on newspapers.A newspaper is a cmbination of news and views.

I tend to believe there will always be a large market for newspapers. For the reasons you mention here and a few more as well. I think news 'purests' will be around for at least another generation. The internet has its place and will continue to mold to meeting the needs of the masses, but print will be around while IMHO.

I disagree, the internet has hurt newspapers print editions. We now read our local paper online, as do many others in our area. The paper prints it's full edition online, not just parts of the story. The paper has recently had to layoff workers and stop delivering to many outlying areas. I know other online papers also print full editions on their website. I think print newspapers are definitly hurt by online readership numbers. But pretty soon they will start charging subscription rates to those that want the full paper online.
