Starting new discussions....

If you want to discuss something, do you typically search for an already started discussion before starting your own or do you just start it without searching? I try using the search field at the top of the page but sometimes the only discussions I find are a year or two old....I usually pick one and respond to it but should I, if they are old like that, just start a new discussion?

no i dont search it. specially if it is about something personal or some kind of problem that i need to ask advice and views of others. if it is about a certain movie that i enjoy, we have our different views on it so i dont search if others has started it already. the ice cream and pizza discussions are quite repitition so i think before i start something on that field i will check it first.

No! I dont use to search and straight away start my own discussion.Because if you type for a tag word to search, sometimes you are displayed with irrelated discussions as well. So,I dont waste time and start it new.Because you have your own questions with specific want,it is always better to have your own.Cheers!

I do not search for old discussions,I just start my own discussions and most of occasions, I have found that the discussion which I started was not started by the others, previously.
