why Windows XP 32-bit only show 3gb ram?

why would that be?.. i have a 4gb ram in my CPU but only 3gb ram is shown.. where is the other memory?

why? are u sure tht htey RAMs are working and r u sure u have installed them the right way? take them out n clean them softly and then put them back in and make sure tht the clips are tight! then restart ur computer hope i helped u! happy lotting and have a nice day!
