My computer used to be very fast but now I have to wait nearly 2 minutes before I can properly shut down my computer. I have tune up utilities and it didn't work in speeding up my shut down. Any suggestion from you? Anything would be helpful. Thank you.

The computer gets slower when you install many softwares on it, TuneUp only speeds up your computer a bit to speed up the computer remove unnecessary programs or softwares by going to "Add/Remove Programs", scan your computer with a latest updated antivirus for example Mcafee or Norton Antivirus, defragment your harddrives. If your computer still does not gets much fast then you should format your C: drive (Where the Windows is Installed) and then install windows again.

My computer runs smoothly and I can surf and download faster than most computer do. Only the shut down is a bit messy.

Thank you for the response but I don't want to mess with the registry editor. But thanks anyway.

The shutting down could be slow if you use it for too long a time continuosly before shutting down, probably due to the memory getting clogged up with many processes or commands...The problem could also be caused by trojans or virus, maybe you try scanning your computer to make sure there's none. I hope it helps.
