I can't get into Hotmail!! Anyone else having problems today?

I just tried to open my account and I'm getting this message:
"Sign-in Error
Windows Live Hotmail was not able to sign in to your account at this time. Please try again later."
Is anyone else having this problem today?
Have you had this message before? What does it mean?
I'm not sure whether this is just a temporary thing and is happening to all Hotmail users (although I can't find any evidence by Googling), or if something's happened to my account. I rely on Hotmail for lots of things, and would be a bit lost without it! I'd be grateful if anyone could help.

i know. some days we have to wait for different sites. just like here. for some reason i was haveing trouble getting into mylot earlier.

Yes, I think you're right bunnybon, it was a case of just having to wait. At the time I didn't know whether or not it would resolve itself, but glad it did.
That's odd about myLot too, glad you can get in now though.

I have checked hotmail a few minutes ago and everything seems work fine for my account. did you try later? Was it a temporary problem? Did you manage to sign in later?

Thanks ronaldinu, yes, thankfully it seems to have been a temporary problem as I can get in again now. It was a very strange thing..
