My computer hang when i insert pendrive

My computer hang immediately when i insert pendrive, ipod into usb port. but it work fine when i insert external memory card device like digital camera , mobile

I think it was because of the virus. Pen drives is the easiest tool to transfer viruses from place to place. Everytime the pen drive is inserted in one port, it absorb all viruses to the drive and it would be sent to the next computer inserted with the pen drive. That's why I always update my antivirus because I work a lot with the pen drive back then when I was having my internship in the office.
