2008 is coming to an end and year 2009 is just around the corner. So, what's your new year resolution ? As for me, I would like to put out a new year resolution to start-off my own business while maintaining my day-job and slowing shifting totally to my own business as this is part of my dream to make this happen. With my own business, then i am able to balance my time for my daughter as well as she is strating school soon too. Hope this resolution will come true with determination and effort. How about yours ... ?

First let me say Welcome to MyLot; I hope you like it here. I also wish you the best of luck with starting your own business. That is a great new years resolution. My top New Years resolution is to finish the novel that I have just recently started and have it submitted to a publisher. It will be a lot of work, but I know that I can do it if I work really hard at it. I have broken down my New Years resolution into small goals, that I can mark off as I reach them. That way it doesn't seem like such a big task. Best wishes to you in the New Year.

I have a few things that I want to do in 2009. Firstly, I want to bring up my savings so that I would have something for the rainy days as well as enough money for my family especially when my son is growing older... The second thing that I have in mind is to regularly exercise as I have been seriously putting lots of weight where I have to buy new clothings and that is not good. In 2009 I am hoping to have a better schedule and sticking to it. The other thing that I want to do is get something out of work such as better income and anything that can help me to work on my first resolution out there. That's all I have at the moment. Cheers!

Sounds like a really good and feasible one. Saving more for the rainy days is a great thing. After all, it looks like rainy days are possibily coming. I think i should also adopt on this as i need to do some savings myself and also need some exercise myself too ( which i haven't been good at this so far ).

I have a very bad habit of talking too much about my experiences and myself which sometimes proves to be problem for me. I do understand that no everybody is interested in knowing about my experience and knowledge. So I have resolved that now I will be extra careful and avoid taliking too much about myself. I will make any statement only if I have been asked about it and I will make sure that I do not unnecessarily jump into any discussion.

My new years resolution this year is to go back to school and get a nursing degree. I am hopeing to start in the spring of '09. I have decided that this is what I need to do, as I love to help and care for other people. I hope that I will have the drive to go back to school though. Its been a while since I have done any school. Shihtzumama

I'm being honest: I need to lose 20 pounds, need as in want. I'm not worried though, I have great discipline :) I just hope no problems will intrude in my determination, for example if I have to study for a test I can't focus on eating healthy at the correct times or exercising. I need to maintain my tenacity. Gdowilling, I 'll be rockhard soon! Keeping my fingers crossed.

I haven't really thought much about my New Year's resolutions. I probably should start since it is only a couple of weeks away. I think my biggest resolution is going to be getting out of debt. In order to do that I need to get a job. So that will be another resolution. Finding a job.

My resolution is not to blow my cool and chuck everything. I really should be a little more cool about things like criticism. Cheers!!

No worries. We can control ourselves. Just remind yourself everytime you need to blow your cool away.

My new years resolution is the same as every year to start dieting and get fit. I always stick to it untill about March but then everything goes out of the window! Maybe this year I can stick to it and reach my goals!!

I'm going to get back in shape. Now granted everyone says that every year but i used to be in great shape and was seriously buff. This year me and my wife decided we're going to stick to it and really do good for ourselves this year. I mean it takes some dedication but with a one year old son he's going to have me running everywhere anyway so i might as well do it and get in shape before he outruns dad into the ground.

Hmmmm.... I really have not figured out yet about my New Year's resolution for 2009. I am actually not the person who makes yearly resolutions because I am afraid that I will not really achieve my goals. If I do, I see to it that these goals are achievable. The last time I made a new year's resolution was last year when I decided to lose weight, around 10-15 lbs. Unfortunately, I did not achieve my goal because I only lost 8 lbs, hehehe.

Well, something is always better than nothing at all. So, 8lbs is not that bad after all. It's half the journey there already. Stay on .....

For some reason I feel like resolutions, like promises, are made to be broken. However I have a goal to just become a more kind, generous, humble, hardworking, loving person as each day goes by. I hope your resolution comes true!!! Have a merry Christmas and a Happy 2009!

Wish You succeed in Your New Years Resoultion, as it is a very brave Resolution and will make You lots of joy, as well as much pain and stress! As for my resolution...I guess it will stand around issues like: money, weight, style, traveling, and self-improvement. You know, same happens every year, but also the same year results go in totally different direction1! So I kinda a know what I would like to achieve, but who can tell me- how it actually will turn out? But better to have some resolution and wishes, then not to have them at all!

Hi and welcome to mylot as for my new years resolution I never really had one for I know I can never keep to them so I don't like to make them. This year how ever will be my first year to actually make one and stick to it. I want to have a new start and think more positive on things in life instead of negetive like I have. I will have to see what happens as the new 2009 year starts hope it's a good one.

If I could dream about new years resolutions i would also want to have my own business. But for now I simply canĀ“t dream about it. I have to work hard and unfortunately not in something that gives me pleasure to do.
