We had a snowstorm two nights ago, another one last night, and have a few more headed our way. Some parts of town lost electicity last night. Losing electricity often is part of the territory during winter storms, my question is, what do you do when the electricity goes out? How do you spend the time?

burning candles - If there is no electricity, we burn candles to give us light until we go to sleep on bed.
Hello Kelly. If there is no electricity at night, I will go to bed earlier together with my radio as I love to listen to news on the radio. Last January and early February we did not have electricity for six days straight and the electricity was broken, not smooth at all. It was all due to the snow disaster that we had. Now it is January again. I hope that we will enjoy ourselves with electricity whenever as I don't like to suffer from the cold and dark. By the way, we used candles instead before we went to bed those days with no electricity. Happy New Year to you, Kelly.

I light a candle: that is the first thing that an ordinary person would do! It will take from 10 to 25 minutes to do it. Than I might get something to eat: make a sandwich or drink a glass of milk. Later? Well, if I would be alone at home: I would sing. If not: then start some debates or discussions. Or maybe I would go to sleep. But what do You usually do?
