Is sarcasm saving our minds? Does it help us to survive? Are You a sarcastic person? My experience is that one sarcastic person will make this world better then 10 ordinary people. Do You agree? Sarcastic person will say: "He does not have enemies- he is just constantly disliked by his friends" or "Jesus loves You- everyone else thinks You are a problem.". And both sayings are wise, strong and giving me a lesson. Will Sarcasm save the 21st century?

I think sarcasm can be great during appropriate times, like when you are with friends and family. But in some situations like at work or school sarcasm can just be counter productive. I understand what you mean by some arcastic people saying very wise and helpful things, but most people are not smart enough to say wise things, they just say smart alec things that instead of helping, just annoy. I don't think sarcasm will save the twenty first century, but if it is done right, maybe it will help make it more bearable.

I really do not see where sarcasm can be of any help to save the 21st century. To me sarcasm is negative and why would negativity help to save a century? I see nothing postitive about making sarcastic remarks. It merely shows egotistical thinking and a down fall of ettiquette and respect for tradition.
