generic host error.... / myLot

i always get this error when i connect to the internet. it connect to the net and i surf , but after 10 mins or so i get this error saying generic error and the net disconnects. the internet dialer also crashes. what is the problem anyone has any idea? please help me. also when i start the pc i get an error saying your explorer has encountered some problem and need to close. if i say dont send it hangs. so i just keep the popup down in the bottom. what migth be the problem here?

hey peter...i also had the same problem...what i did was i installed avast free anti virus and did a full scan for my PC..then i also uinstalled nod32 antivirus...when i used to surf net i used to get a nod error saying that IE is trying to visit some site and so nod has blocked that site...but the host problem was still there.. then i installed hijackthis software... i then ran hijackthis software which scanned through my PC registry and found out some suspicious programs trying to run IE.. one of this program was the one which nod had blocked... so i deleted that program and voila..the problem got resolved. so basically i concluded that nod was blocking the host problem but not removing its registry..hijackthis software helped me remove the registry... hope this helps.. thanks happy mylotting

maybe you must re-install your explorer, or you can call info from where you connect your internet
