most of us feel shy about being too affectionate in public with our lover. When I say public, I mean, train stations, or malls, or sidewalk, etc. But some people may actually find this quite okay. How about you? can you kiss, smack, or smooch your lover in public?

i do not make a public show of affection. It is not some thing you have to show to people. When you love someone, it is between you and that person and not something for public consumption. Why make a show of it in public. I think people who show affection in public must be fighting in private.

I think people who show affection in public must be fighting in private That is a good point I think that there is a time and a place for affection and public just is not one of them.

Yeah i guess so. There was this time when a fling kind of forced me to kiss her because it's about to say goodbye because she's going home. I did kiss her of course right on the lips but just a smack. My exgirlfriend asked me to kiss her while we're riding a public transportation, i though she was joking or daring me. I didn't kiss her and up to now she's kind of pissed off at me because of the incident. So lesson learned, always kiss your partner even in public.

ahahaha....yeah, i understand her bewilderment. I guess it would still depend on the situation though. That time she was leaving so you really would have dared. Besides, people are gonna forget it the next day anyway. But what's happened has happened.

Hi there Theresa! Well, I can but only a smack on the lips. That's the farthest that I can go. I don't have anything against people who kiss each other in public as long as there's no kids around but it's just not me.

where i come from is primitive so kissing in public is a big scandal. It's so big that you might just be near to being featured in the local newspaper headlines. My BF can only do a quick peck on the cheeks and that's it. But yes, smack can be okay. Just don't do it here unless you want publicity. Lol! I'm exaggerating a little a bit. Bt the primitive part is true.

In Jamaica that is not our culture and so if you were found being affectionate in public, you would probably be viewed with weird looks and comments. Most persosn here have a vey conservative view when it comes to such public displays of affection.I have been here for thirty years and I dont think I have evr seen anyone kissing in public ,atleast not in plain view of everyone else

Same case particularly here in our province. Philippines may be more liberated nowadays but that would be in some very big cities. Us here, in the remote areas are still very much conservative. The most people who can actually dare do it in public are foreigners, mostly European. It's ok for them because their culture is really different.

there are different kinda of lovers....some are shy ones and some dont mind showing their affection in the public...... but there are others who dont mind showing their affection in public but no one really still knows about their relationship so they are going around secretly.... as for me its just my father who doesnt know about my relationship..... though me and my boyfriend do have conservative families we dont care..... we love each other so we dont mind showing other people..... but we keep it to a kiss and not a smooch as then that becomes an added entertainment for the public..... but its really ok for a peck on the lips in public, cos now the indian public is getting used to it...... the indians now are seeing so many foreigners and so many english movies that they dont think much of it anyways ...... but of course if you are going to get touchy and stuff in public then thats gonna have the whole india staring at you .... !!

I kiss my fiance in public and we are both fine with that. My ex-boyfriend didn't want to kiss or hold hands in public, he was kind of shy and he didn't want other people to see us, so we didn't do it. In my country there is no law against kissing etc in public, but many people don't like it and many people get annoyed when a couple is kissing in public. Personally I think that a kiss or two is totally okay, but going to extremes is not okay, because that is bound to upset a lot of people.

I can't do that in public because I am from India and here public kissing is a crime. Police can arrest you for that. I wish to do so!
