I had been worked in Mitsubishi Company for more than 2 years, and also worked fo a start-up company 8 months.More than 5000 people worked for Mitsubishi, so we should learn how to communicate with them and make the work passed off smoothly. And the big company can offer welfare and salary.in one word, we can learn a lot of from the big company. But in a start-up one, anything depends on yourself.

I would choose a big company. I have tried to enter in a big company, but they always gaved their preferences to candidates that had already worked for a start-up company or in a similar company. Because they have an experience, and a `tough` one. Although those works were I was applying to did not require any special skills from the start-up company environments, I guess it was more because of the skills and real life lessons that one can experience in a new and small business. I got a job in a start-up company, and boss was not paying the salary, cheated about week-ends by hiring on those days people who did not have a working contract, and many other problems that I don`t even want to mention. Big company is better. Although there is a lack of communication and I wont know 87$ of the employees, I still prefer that cold and big environment rather than a small and full of intrigues start-up company.

thanks for this wonderful post, i was working in a big company and the company redeployed me to pioneer a smaller company ever since I have not benefited there and i have regretting living the big one. My advice is that nobody should leave a big company for a new or start-up one because it is dangerous and unprofitable to the employee. cheers!
