Washington, DC or MIAMI for the holidays?

Im really trying to decide which one. Never been to Miami and pertrified of planes but my friend really wants me to come out there for the holidays. Have another friend in DC who invited me and that seems more my scene. Love the city and honestly, I can see everyone mistaking me for being Spanish in Miami and no, i dont do salsa. Ok, ok, just kidding. For some of you this is a no brain question--so what really is happening in Miami for the holidays? I thought the party never stops there.
