License Plates and Collectors

My husband and I found we have license plate collecting in common. Between his plates and mine, we have one dated back to 1999 until present. We decided we are going to fix up our side porch and hang the plates on the wall. How many we have total? I don't know yet, for there's more out in his shed that has to be gone through someday.
Do you collect your license plates and if so, how far dated back does yours start out? If you don't collect them, what do you do with the plates? I've tried to return mine to the town office, they didn't want them. Here, we can only transfer our plates twice so after that, they are history anyway. LOL

Thats a good interest to have and isn't it good that your husband has the same interest as well, I went to a restaurant just last week that had a few up on there wall, I would like to collect town signs but of course not a wise thing to do, I think you have a very interesting collection there.

Yes, it is very good and was kind of surprised that he has the same interest. Amazingly, we have alot more in common than we thought. Of course, we do have some different interests, thanks gosh. I would'nt want it to get boring. I thought the same thing you did, I would'nt mind collecting town or street signs. Especially when I see one with family names and places we grew up. No, not a wise thing to do alright. LOL I bet the ones in the restaurant are older than ours, but another 20 years and boy, will we be feeling the age.
