After Work...

After work my first priority is to go home and get showered and rested... Not for friends to find excuses to need a ride or a favor! Today while at work a friend asked me for a ride, I told her Im at work and wouldnt be able to help her out.. She asked when I was going to be done, and already knowing the ride was not an emergency, I told her in an angry tone myabe in a few weeks maybe never".... Am i being to harsh? or am I right to refuse?

Well it is really annoying to hear people seem trying to pull you out of your job just for their own comfort and it is not even for very urgent or emergency case. My dear I can't blame you if you answered back sarcastically. Maybe it's a way of telling that person that she has to leave you alone for it is not your job to give her a lift. It's okay to ask for a ride for as long as there is no disturbance done. But for persistent person who seemed to have considered giving her a ride her prerogative and your obligation, then she deserved that taste of some harsh reply to wake her up.

what u did is correct in the context of the work. but it would have been better had you handled yourself better. you could have told her more politely and made her understand that you are tied up to work. out of interest people tend to do that and after all its between friends that we can play. let that not lead to arguments and then fights. thats not friendship for!
