Today is the fourth day since I became a mylotter. I am a person who are interested in novel things,so I almost spent 2/3 of daytime here these days.I find almost every one here speaks English fluently.I don't you how do you manage to be good at english. For me, it's really hard.I always have to use goole to translate some words ,from Chinese to english,or from english to chinese. Really hard work! I come here partly for Practicing my english, there is just no english circumstance around me,and I love english, I don't want to drop it, as most my classmates do.

The key there is practice. Speak english, read english books, and write in english as much and as often as possibe. This goes for any other language. Watch movies, and shows in english too. Listen/watch english news as well. You're on the right track. Just keep practicing even at home and you'll soon notice a great deal of improvement. goodluck.

i am a little bit fluent in speaking English, but sometimes i make mistakes too or have a different diction.. i learn to speak English fluently by conversing with other people, reading books, and studying English at school... i just practice at home so that i can speak more fluently...

My first language is also Chinese. I've learned English since I was young, but because lacking of practice, so my English is actually not good enough. One thing I found out that we need to practice more, whether to read more, speak more, write more and listen more, then you'll gradually improve your English. I always need to go and check up any new vocabulary, but Internet has made our lives easier, we do not need to flip through the thick dictionary nowadays. Just to share with you two sites I like to go and check up for new vocab: 1. http://www.answers.com - just enter the English word, then you'll get the meaning in English and also Chinese. 2. http://www.nciku.com/ - I've recently found this, where I know the Chinese words, but I want the English term of it. This is quite a good site to check it out. I've tried Yahoo dictionary, but I always can't find the English word. Just participate more, read more and write more, sure you'll be able to manage English well some time later.
