Can you share any of your personal Runescape knowledge?

Hey, i enjoy playing Runescape, as many people do, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestion for my next 99. I gained my first level 99 skill, Firemaking, two days ago and wasn't too sure what to do next. Since then i have completed the quest "Shilo Village" and was thinking about training my fishing level from 71 to 99. (71 - 85 fly fishing and then 85 - 99 on lobsters). I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on fishing for me, or maybe any ideas on what i should do now. Some skills i may raise are : - Fishing, level 71 - Hunter, level 71 - Mining, level 62 - Smithing, level 54 So can anyone give me any tips on the above skills or perhaps idea on what i should do next? Thanks for reading and giving your comments. I have posted this on my sons behalf.

My suggestion would be to use the Fist of Guthix fishing gloves. They are relativelly cheap to get and they offer double experience for some fishes (swordies or sharks). Taking into consideration the experience bonus you get from the gloves, I think it would make it a good alternative to fly fishing. Not to mention that if you decide to bank the fishes, you would get a decent ammount of cash at the end (or a fast way to increase your cooking skill). Since you completed "Shilo Village" you play in a P2P world, therefore I guess you should take advantage of P2P training, instead of using a F2P strategy. Good luck there!

Thanks for the advice and I think once I gain a few levels I will obtain the gloves, i think i will get to a level where I will be able to fish swordies at a faster rate. I think i will continue to fly fish until then as this has been recommended to me by other players. Thanks Again.

Just wanted to add that if you get the volitile or morphing tool from the stealing creations minigame & turn them into a harpoon they further double the xp. Whoever told you to fly fish was definently thinking like a nonmember. We have far better ways of doing things like using the proper gear to get better fish ( swordfish & sharks ) at 4 times the xp.

If i were you, i would work on mining and smithing. thet are both real rewarding, especially if you can enter the mining guild.

I have recently looked into mining and seen that putting any money into this skill can be regained at later levels. I was thinking that i could do some hunting just while i can take advantages of my membership benefits. Thanks for the advice though.

Note that i said mining but meant smithing.

Smithing is an extremely good skill to invest in. It's not only rewarding, but it's pretty fun(:

For fishing, there is no true way to level fast without just having a lot and I mean ALOT of patience. As you said just fly fish if you are a nonmember. You could probably though fish lobsters pretty fast at around 75. As for Hunter, I am a nonmember so I can't really give much advice there. As for Mining, not being a personal fan of it in over three years, what I advise you to do is to just mine coal at the Mining Guild. Finally, for smithing, this mostly just correlates with mininng, so when you reach your desired level in mining just swap over and start smelting/smithing all that coal into mithril or steel bars.

Thanks for your reply, my friend recently got 99 hunting and she said it was very rewarding as you do make a lot of money from this skill. I think i will hunt for a while to make a couple of mil, this will help for when i want to train my combat.

If you're rich do this: Buy like 5k steel bars and smith them all into canon balls and then sell them! You make profit! And earn lots of XP!

Fly fishing is very common way of training fishing in Shilo village. If I had so good fishing level i would fish there, but fishing gloves is another good option too.
