Do you Include External Links In Your Blog Content?

Many bloggers fear including external links in their content because they feel like it will cause people to leave their blog and never to come back. However, I must suggest that it is important to include outbound links so that you can offer your readers a way to learn more about the areas you have only touched on in your content. Please shouldn't fear losing readers because they leave your blog to learn more about something else. In fact, when you offer external links on your blog content, you give them more of a reason to come back. When you write content and provide ways for your readers to learn more outside from your own blog, in basically create a hub or a "portal" sensation which then enables your readers to use your blog as a vital source of finding information. What is your style? Do you tend to keep your content link free? Do you tend to only hyperlink to other articles you have written yourself? Or, do you open up the links and allow readers to expand their knowledge about the topic you wrote about by checking out other opinions from other writers?

I have read recently that placing external links in blog posts is helpful for higher ranking at search engines, and brings more traffic to your blog. I think you are right in saying it also helps because more blog visitors will subscribe to your blog, or bookmark it, if it is useful. I often place links to my own articles, or refer to a post on my other blog, if it offers more information. Referral links, of course, can appear when relevant to the post. I do occasionally add outbound links to sites I recommend as being useful or interesting. I may start doing this more often now. Thanks for the tip.

My blog is full of external links... The entire blog is related to sharing my favorite news articles, and my comments or suggestions, or remarks thoughts serious and silly to them. I do not comment on every single article.... Most of its Railroad and Train news article themed and then the stop news stories of the day... So it all depends on the purpose of your blog... I sometimes add youtube videos and stuff on there. Nothing wrong with linking to external places as long as you mark it clearly to give credit that the link is one you are sharing by not affliated or necessarily associated with your site.. if you are worried about that just add a small disclaimers: The following content is not affliated or associated with this site... before sharing... But also make sure you have a way for people to contact you... In case they are not happy with your link to their item... Then they can request you remove the link to your content, or help you give proper credit. Hope that helps.. It all depends on what your blog is about and what you are doing... I also have a couple with nothing but my own writings too.. but I have not updated them in along time... So on those I would not put links to others content unless It was something I make referenece or reviews too. - DNatureofDTrain

hi thanks for your feedback! I appreciate it very much.. I have the same thoughts with you that don't be shy to give others' credit if we're referring to their article. That's nothing wrong to give them credit right? You won't lose any traffics, I mean if our content is quality, of course readers will come back again, so never scare about lose of traffics!
